There are so many different hacks, gimmicks, hypes out there for how to take care of our skin. And I’m comfortable to say that I have tried about most of them.

Skincare usually involves cleaning, protecting, accentuating desirable features but also we use different products for treatment of underlying conditions. Its really important to pay attention what type of skin we have to use the right products and not hurt the skin in the process.

If I asked you, we all have some kind of skin condition that we would like to fix. Whether its acne, dry skin, oily skin, eczema, what have you.  But whatever it is in almost in every situation we try to fix our problem with purchasing right products.

I got introduced to oils by accident.

When I was young my grandma always used to tell me that olive oil will save your skin. Whenever she was cooking she would just dab a little amount of her lips and face. And honestly, she had great skin. At 85 years old she barely had wrinkles.

I never attributed her smooth skin with using olive oil until later.

I never really put two and two together until I saw Josie Maran argan oil at Sephora.

I decided to try it out and saw a major difference in my skin texture within a month.

After I got acquainted with this miracle oil, I decided to venture out to different types of oils.

I did a little research and found how different oils work for different skin types and conditions. Because oils are extracted from plants, they are packed with antioxidants. And you know what that means.

Antioxidants are your skins weapon to fight off free radicals and damage to your skin.

Oils also mimic natural, healthy state of your skin. Unlike chemical based products they usually don’t strip your face but add to it.

My favorite oil is Rosehip Seed oil.

It’s really great because it helps with scarring and is known for its firming qualities. It also has a nice nutty smell.

I have a lot of scarring from years of popping my pimples and picking my skin. This oil was a life changer for me. Just by using it for a month I saw a major difference in my skin texture.

Avocado oil, rich in antioxidants is a perfect oil for anti-aging.

It also heals sun damage and age spots. I gotta be honest, sometimes I forget to wear sunscreen when I go outside. I know I’m awful. But it happens. That’s why I like to put on some avocado oil at night. It has helped me keep wrinkles at bay.

And if you have an acne prone skin, one of the best oils for you is pumpkin seed oil.

I honestly love this oil because it helped me with my blackheads. I get them around my chin and nose area. And this oil just helps me keep my pores clear and unclogged. Because it’s rich in vitamin c, it also helps with boosting the natural collagen of your skin.
